Michael has been doing accounting for more than 20 years. In fact, he has done more than accounting in these years. His other business operation experiences include human resource management, office operations and technology management. Michael has also led due diligence teams in investment and acquisition projects.

Michael started as an audit professional in one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Singapore. Back then, he was also exposed to overseas ventures as he traveled abroad to complete assignments. He left audit to join a FMCG manufacturing company as a Finance & Administration Manager, where his responsibilities included financial planning, financial analysis, human resource management and information technology. It helped that Michael has quite an interest in technology and is considerably technology savvy.
The company was later acquired by a conglomerate, and he was also given the opportunity to lead due diligence teams in investment and acquisition projects for the group. In his next career move, Michael joined an Australian MNC as a Financial Controller, and later progressed to lead the team for Southeast Asia region. With his strong accounting background and acumen in various business tools, Michael transformed the finance operations, considerably improving accuracy and efficiency in reporting and analysis.

Michael recognised the importance of transforming business data to analysis which add great value to business owners in various decision making processes. Hence, Datseasy Consulting was founded, with the desire to provide such transformation and analytical ability to small and medium business owners, at an affordable fee, to better manage their businesses.
